Вимоги для вступу / Admission requirements:

Повна загальна середня освіта – вступ здійснюється за результатами зовнішнього незалежного оцінювання за конкурсом. Здобутий освітньо-кваліфікаційний рівень молодшого спеціаліста, освітньо-професійний ступінь фахового молодшого бакалавра, освітній ступінь молодшого бакалавра – вступ здійснюється за результатами фахового вступного випробування зі спеціальності за конкурсом.

Complete general secondary education: admission is based on the results of the external independent evaluation on a competitive basis. The obtained educational and qualification level of a junior specialist, the educational and professional degree of a professional junior bachelor, the educational degree of a junior bachelor: admission is based on the results of a professional entrance examination in a specialty on a competitive basis.

 

 

 

Exchange students are students who are already enrolled in their home country at a higher education institution that has signed the Erasmus+ programme agreement with the Kharkiv University of Technologies “IT STEP”. KhTU “IT STEP” accepts exchange students through the Erasmus+ programme.

Students can apply to KhTU “IT STEP” to study for one or two semesters and afterwards they can transfer the credits obtained to their home institution. The Erasmus+ coordinator of their home institution nominates the students for their studies.

 

Nomination and Application Deadlines

In order to be considered for Erasmus exchange studies at KhTU “IT STEP”, the student has to be officially nominated by their home university.

Nomination information should include the student’s full name, birth date, contact e-mail, and study field.

KhTU “IT STEP” offers full study programmes at Bachelor’s level with the main focus on engineering fields. The official language of instruction for all of our full study programmes is Ukrainian. 

Each academic year, our academic units offer a selection of courses in English that are available for Erasmus+ exchange students.

Оцінки «Відмінно», «Добре», «Задовільно» виставляються: за підсумками екзаменів та диференційованих заліків, за результатами виконання курсових і кваліфікаційних робіт (проектів), за результатами практик.

«Excellent», «Good», «Satisfactory» grades show the results of: examinations, differentiated tests, yearly papers (projects) and theses (diploma projects), work placements.

 

Tips for course selection:

• Please select the courses only from the catalogue for International Studies which gathers all English taught subjects at KhTU “IT STEP” for each academic year. Other courses are only offered in Ukrainian.
• Courses should be selected according to your study area. 
• General courses are more of general nature to support specialized studies and can be chosen by students of any study field.
• Specialized courses usually require previous knowledge of the study field. Please read carefully the information on each subject.
• Please check carefully the semester of the course. Below the modules, under the tab “Typical study plan” the course offer is sorted by semesters.
• Overlaps in the schedule may occur if you select courses from different academic units. In case of an overlapping schedule, you may have to change your Learning Agreement.
• Some subjects are only offered to our sessional study students who attend classes once a month during their study sessions and therefore might fall on Saturdays.
• Please note that there are two options for evaluation of the learning outcome: graded/ differential (in Ukrainian: диференційоване/іспит)) or not graded/non-differential (in Ukrainian: недиференційоване/залік)). In case of non-differential assessment method, the student will not be given a grade, but the subject will be assessed either as “Passed” or “Failed” accordingly.

 

Online Application and OLA

 

Nominated students will be sent a User ID and instructions to register and fill in their online application in the University system. The notifications will be sent from *@itstep.academy

Students will have to create their study plan and attach the following documents to their application:

• Transcript of Records showing your grades from home university (in English)
• Certificate of English language proficiency (certificate may be issued by your home institution).
• Copy of passport or ID
• For Architecture students – a portfolio (examples of prior work)

Once the application has been reviewed and approved, please complete and submit within two weeks from the acceptance your Online Learning Agreement (OLA) according to the study plan approved in your online application.

• You can access OLA either through your university’s mobility system, through the OLA portal or Erasmus app.
• The responsible person for signing the OLA at KhTU “IT STEP” is the Erasmus Coordinator Kristina Babenko (babenko.kristi@gmail.com).
• Please check with your university who is responsible person for signing at your university.
• Following the approved study plan in your online application, mark down the courses you want to take at KhTU “IT STEP” in Table A about the proposed mobility programme. Add the courses that will be recognised at your home institution in Table B.
• Once you have signed it, the responsible person at your home university receives an automatic notification via email to verify and sign the learning agreement, after which the Erasmus coordinator at our university receives an automatic notification via email to verify and sign the OLA.

NB! Online Learning Agreement is only available for students arriving within the Erasmus+ mobility within the programme countries. Students arriving in KhTU “IT STEP” within the Erasmus+ ICM programme have to submit their Learning Agreement on paper. Instructions will be given once your application is approved.

Official Government information on the COVID-19 situation in KhTU “IT STEP” can be found on https://covid19.gov.ua/en webpage. 

The students must adhere to any other restrictions and requirements in place in Ukraine during the stay.

If you have any symptoms during your stay in KhTU “IT STEP”, please consult your doctor and inform immediately the Erasmus coordinator so we could take the necessary measures to prevent the spreading of the infection.
